About Your Audiologist
DEBORAH L. BERNDTSON, MS, CCC-A, FAAA
My priority as an audiologist is to provide my patients with excellent service in meeting their hearing health care needs. Included in my professional services is fitting patients with the most appropriate state-of-the-art hearing instruments. I pride myself in educating my patients regarding their hearing and helping them to achieve realistic expectations when being fit with amplification.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Disorders at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA and my Masters of Science from Emerson College, Boston, MA. I am currently enrolled at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and Audiology obtaining my doctorate in audiology, AuD. I believe that continuing education is the only way to stay current with the latest diagnostic testing techniques and hearing aid instrumentation.
I have been in practice for over 25 years serving a varied population. Some of the settings include the Veteran’s Administration, Eunice Kennedy Shriver Center, Cambridge City Hospital and Mass Rehab Hospital.
At SONUS Fairfax and Alexandria Hearing Centers my patients expect and deserve the best products and services that I can provide. I will take the time to ensure that your expectations are met. Please give me a call with any questions.
